Spring Break is just around the corner, although we don’t always have the spring-like weather here in Michigan to prove it; there are many things to do in the area to fill your vacation with fun.
If cabin fever has been getting you down or you need the kids to burn off the energy that’s been stored since sub-zero temperatures began – there are many outdoor opportunities for stretching your legs and breathing in the Lake Michigan air while hiking and exploring at the Ludington State Park. The 8 trail loops and various activities are there for you to take in the wildlife and beauty that we are so lucky to have in the area.
For the colder Spring Break days, there is fun to be had at Sandcastles Children’s Museum with activities for the kids. They have access to a climbing wall, their own small town to work and play in as well as a miniature S.S. Badger to captain, among other great options for imagination. The kids might also enjoy some treats and amusement at the Easter egg hunt on April 4th, held at Jaycee’s Mini Golf.
There are several options for the whole family if a dip in the pool is of interest to you. Ludington has many lodging accommodations that provide a retreat and have packages available during the Spring Break season. But, if mom and dad would like to have a night of their own Ludington also offers excellent dining options at many of the local restaurants and bars, they may want to head over in the evening to a Wine and Cheese Artists Reception on the last Saturday of the month at Golden Key Art Gallery for some beautiful art and mingling with others looking for a night out together.
However you may choose to fill your time over the Spring Break season, we hope to see you in Pure Ludington.
