Christmas is in the air, and there are a host of events happening in Pure Ludington this holiday season! We hope you plan to make a trip to the lakeshore for these can’t-miss extravaganzas! Here are the Top 7:
1. WSCC Holiday Rock Spectacular Reunion
This December 3-4 show will feature guest musicians from The Verve Pipe, Brenna, Groove 101 and many more. The event promises a high-energy production of holiday rock, lighting and special effects are sure to put audiences into the holiday spirit!
2. Miracle on Ludington Avenue
Ludington bed & breakfast guests will enjoy holiday activities including creating a holiday centerpiece, designing/pouring a candle, and making/pouring holiday chocolates. Shop downtown with an exclusive "passport" that gives guests insider discounts on December 9-10.
3. Art of Giving Holiday Market
This second annual event at Ludington Area Center for the Arts highlights handmade artisan items that will make for unique gift giving. Shop during regular center hours, as well as extended hours on December 4 and 11.
4. We’ll Be Home for the Holidays Concert
This community concert on December 11 will leave you with the magical feelings of Christmas. Ludington Area Center for the Arts hosts this annual event featuring local musical artists who are eager to share their gift for the holidays.
5. Christmas Party at Sandcastles
Mr. and Mrs. Claus will make a special stop at Sandcastles Children’s Museum on December 10 (10:30 a.m.-12 p.m.) Joining them will be John Marek with his balloon creations. Then, Deb Borema will be at the Creation Station to help guests make funny sweater ornaments (12-1:30 p.m.). There will be cookies and a drink too!
6. Santa’s Workshop
Santa’s Workshop is coming back to Floracraft Corporation and will be bigger than ever! This December 10 event is a free, fun-filled day of Christmas crafting, games, snacks, gifts and more. Get your photo with Santa Claus or enjoy story time with Mrs. Claus! Walking through the Winter Wonderland will surely bring you more holiday cheer.
7. The Story of the Nutcracker Ballet
Enjoy a magical experience as The Story of the Nutcracker Ballet is told through live-action scenes and dance performed by Tye Chua Dance. There will be two shows at 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale on November 4 at Sandcastles Children's Museum: $10 per person and $8 per person for Sandcastles' members. Sandcastles' Christmas collection of Steinbach Nutcrackers will be on display, there will be treats from St. Nicholas for every child, and cookies and drinks will be served after the show.
