Usher in the Holiday Season in Pure Ludington

Shopping, Decor, Cookies and Music

Enjoy some exciting experiences with your family to usher in the holiday season with us in Ludington, starting with a new event for 2020, Deck the Halls: A Mason County Decorating Contest. A driving map will be made available, so light hunters will be able to locate all Christmas exhibits on the tour and make their way around the county at their leisure. The festive displays will be available for viewing from December 1-27 at both residences and businesses. To access the light-tour map, visit


Festival of Wreaths

The First Annual Festival of Wreaths, will be displayed in the Ludington Area Center for the Arts Performance Hall Gallery, December 4-12. This week-long, online auction will allow you to bid on beautiful Christmas decor, with all proceeds benefitting art programming in the Ludington community. We’ll Be Home for the Holidays

The 6th annual holiday concert at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts will take place virtually this year, featuring festive performances by Edger Struble, Brian Oberlin, the Pentwater High School Jazz Band, Taylor Makowicki, Fremont John, Carlos Adan Ortega and more. Look for the live performances on the LACA website or Facebook page beginning at 6 p.m. December 11.

Cookie Walk

If you have a sweet tooth, you won’t want to miss the Downtown Ludington Cookie Walk on December 12. Venture to downtown businesses from 1-5 p.m., where friendly retailers will be waiting for you with a delicious treat at each stop. Cost is $20, and tickets can be purchased here.


Cookies & Candles

The Lamplighter Bed & Breakfast is hosting a cozy, make-and-take Christmas event  on December 12, in partnership with House & Harbor Candles. Create a custom scent, pour your own artisan candle and collect 25 homemade holiday cookies (5 varieties, baked at the inn) to take home. Christmas Concert

December 18 brings a holiday concert from the West Shore Community College Performing Arts Living Room Series. This virtual event will feature music from the West Shore Wind Symphony, Jazz Ensemble, Concert Choir and special surprise guests. 12 Days of Christmas Shopping

Downtown Ludington businesses are offering special pricing on holiday items each day during a holiday promotion, 12 Days of Christmas Shopping, December 13-24. Get a jump-start on your holiday shopping by visiting these stores, located in our beautiful, historic district. Giveaways are part of the fun! 

Make it a family event by heading to Rotary Park, where the giant Downtown Ludington Christmas tree will be relocated (since James Street Plaza is under construction). This will be the perfect place to snap your glowing Instagram photos!
