A new set of guidelines from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services take effect March 5, allowing restaurants to open for indoor dining at half capacity. The order's stipulations include:

Most restaurants are offering to-go options for the convenience of customers. Just call ahead or order online, and they will have your order ready for pickup or curbside delivery.

Ludington Bay Brewing Co. offers unique winter dining in your own private igloo. Just order your food and beverages by phone, and staff will bring the meal to the igloo door. Reservations are required; call 231-239-6690. (See Facebook page for details.) In addition, the brewery has outdoor, enclosed-patio seating.
The Blu Moon Bistro also has an outdoor private igloo, available to reserve for up to 1.5 hours. Call 231-843-2001 to make your reservation.
Outdoor deck dining (with patio heaters) is available at Jamesport Brewing Company on a first come, first served basis. The last seating each evening will be 7 p.m.
Sister establishments, Sportsman's Restaurant and Barley & Rye, have outdoor seating in greenhouses, available by reservation. You might also grab a beer from the Mitten Bar and sit outside in a dome. Call 231-843-2138 to make your reservation.
