The official kickoff to the holiday season in Downtown Ludington is happening on Saturday, November 29, featuring shopping deals, a lighted parade, community tree lighting, holiday music, and more! Join us to get a jumpstart on holiday gift buying and enjoying family-friendly events.

When to go
• Small Business Saturday
10 a.m.-7 p.m. at downtown retailers- View some of the fantastic offers here.
6 p.m. on Ludington Avenue from Gaylord Avenue to Harrison Street
• Community Tree Lighting with LHS Bands & Choir, Santa
Immediately following the parade in Legacy Plaza (approx. 6:45 p.m.)
What to expect
Local businesses are rolling out the red carpet for shoppers with holiday open houses, steals & deals and gift ideas. Some are offering hot cocoa and cookies, so take a stroll through decorated downtown boutiques to take advantage of not only savings but also holiday feels.
The Aglow parade will feature lighted entries, from floats and musicians to fire trucks and Santa himself. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also meet with children from 7-8 p.m. at Legacy Plaza.

Entertainment
Beginning Saturday, Nov. 29, holiday music will be playing throughout Downtown Ludington streets, adding a festive flair to shopping and nearby events.
The Ludington High School Band will be playing your favorite Christmas songs while marching in the Aglow on the Avenue Parade. The LHS Choir will lead the crowd in cheery holiday songs at 6:45 p.m. at Legacy Plaza, so be sure to sing along!
What to Eat & Drink
Downtown coffee shops and restaurants will be open throughout the day to keep you fueled up for festivities.
Visit Cluck Bucket Downtown, HumaniTea, Book Mark, or Red Rooster Coffee & Community for flavors of the holiday season including hot cocoa, peppermint mocha or gingerbread latte.

Where to Park
Downtown streets offer adjacent parking, or find an available spot in lots located behind local businesses. Parking and event attendance are free.
