A Legacy on the Lake, the SS BADGER is the only coal-fired passenger steamship still in operation in the United States. Its history spans nearly 70 years, with Ludington as its home port. Originally designed to transport railroad cars, this grand ship and the people who serve her have successfully adapted to the changing world since she first entered service in 1953.
A trip on the BADGER is a family-friendly adventure and getaway. Bring your car, truck, motorcycle or RV - even a group - and start creating your family memories. Kids may enjoy the gaming room, scavenger hunts, a movie theater and traditional board games. Adults will appreciate the full-service bar including Bloody Mary’s, the BADGER Boatique Gift Shop, museum, staterooms and lounging areas.
