Pure Ludington’s Music Spots Heat up Winter Nights

Looking for a place to kick up your heels and stay warm on a wintry night? Try one of Pure Ludington’s music hot spots – where local- and Michigan-based bands keep listeners cozy with their melodies — and friends gathered together make your evenings memorable.

The Mitten Bar(goes to new website) is a favorite place to meet for eclectic artists. Names like Joshua Davis(goes to new website), All American Funk Parade(goes to new website), Luke Winslow-King(goes to new website), and Delilah DeWylde(goes to new website) have come to Ludington to play here. The small atmosphere of the pub lends to its close-knit feel, and many patrons have become members of the exclusive Mug Club. Don’t miss the dozen rotating craft beers the Mitten has on tap, or order your favorite in a bottle.

Welcoming a number of local artists to play in its tap room, Ludington Bay Brewing Co(goes to new website). is a gathering spot for music on weekends. Warm up by the fireplace and grab your favorite from among 24 brews on draft – even take a peek at the brewing facility inside. Come hungry(goes to new website), and try the brewery’s homemade mac and cheese or crab rangoon pizza. The brewery also offers a Mug Club for lasting deals.

Jamesport Brewing Co.(goes to new website) is a spot you might catch a local acoustic set with a regular lineup of artists. The brewery has a full menu and up to 14 craft beers on tap, so check out the weekend musical acts here(goes to new website).

The Performing Arts Series(goes to new website) at West Shore Community College hosts a variety of national and international acts throughout the year, so be sure to check out who’s going to be on stage next! Coming in February will be the Southern small-town play, Steel Magnolias, at the Center Stage Theater. Sierra Hull will take the Ramsdell stage on April 11. Look here(goes to new website) for tickets.

You might also catch one of many concerts held at Ludington Area Center for the Arts(goes to new website) including a 6-piece fusion band, Candid Antics(goes to new website), on February 21. A Silent Disco(goes to new website) is also planned for March 1 when you can dance the night away to your own tunes in your headphones. What a great idea! Join the fun!
