More Family Activities
Your trip to Ludington wouldn’t be complete without catching two of the area’s most well-known family destinations, Lewis Adventure Farm & Zoo and Country Dairy.
Lewis Adventure Farm & Zoo is a getaway from everyday life for both the young and young at heart. Take a break from camping to explore, play and make new memories with the ones you love most.
Explore over 40 fun-filled activities at the farm. Take a ride on the barrel train, race rubber ducks and play in 2,000 bushels of corn at the Corny Barn. Meet more than 100 unique animals in one of the largest, cleanest petting zoos in the area – from barnyard favorites, like ponies and goats, to exotics, like camels and lemurs.
With fresh, seasonal produce favorites, the farm store is not to be missed. And you will want to check out the farm’s calendar of special events, which cater to all ages and interests.
A working dairy farm in Oceana County, Country Dairy hosts farm tours and wagon rides, and kids will love fresh cheese curds and ice cream cones available on site. Get up closed and personal with the cows, see the milking operation, and view the milk bottling room.
Plan ahead, and you can take advantage of “Horsing Around with Daze and Dan” or a “Calf Encounter.” (Schedule an event at least 24 hours ahead.)
Country Dairy also has an outdoor playground, picnic area and country store for all visitors.
While you’re out and about, grab a pizza at Little Caesar’s and head to a park for a picnic to end your day. This is a perfect, cost-effective meal for a family to share, and the restaurant is conveniently located on US-10 in Ludington.
