Love Ludington Weekend

Celebrate your love of Ludington with this lakeshore community, June 13-14, with events and activities to get residents and visitors in the spirit of summer.

Love Ludington Weekend will feature favorite annual traditions like the Lakestride Half Marathon and incorporate newer traditions like attempting to break a Guinness World Record!

Friday, June 12 

6:00 PM: Spectrum Health Lakestride Fun Run A fun 1-mile run/walk open to all runners, walkers and children of all ages as a precursor to the Ludington Lakestride race. Ribbons will be awarded for all and medals for the top 3 finishers male and female. This event starts at the Loomis Street Boat Launch.

Saturday, June 13
8:00 AM: Ludington Lakestride Half Marathon, 10K & 5K

The Ludington Lakestride is a 38-year tradition provides participants a beautiful running race near Lake Michigan, with options for a 5K, 10K and half marathon. Races begin at 8 a.m. starting at 612 N. Lakeshore Dr. (Nader’s Lakeshore Motor Lodge) and finishing at Stearns Beach on Lake Michigan.

9:00 AM-12:00 PM: Breakfast with Benefits at Barley & Rye

In addition to great brunch, Barley & Rye will serve your favorite cocktails and beer. This is a charity event.

10:00 AM - 1:00 PM: AFFEW Native Plant Sale at Rotary Park

4:00 PM: Pure Ludington Guinness World Record Attempt

In 2016 Ludington broke the Guinness World Record for the Longest Ice Cream Sundae, and in 2017 Ludington broke the record for the Most Sand Angels Created Simultaneously. Last year, Ludington broke the world record by hosting the Largest Dessert Party! 

8:30 PM:  Shoreline Cruise aboard the S.S. Badger 

The S.S. Badger will cruise along the Ludington shoreline from 9PM - 11PM. The $42 ticket price includes a 1950’s S.S. Badger Party Buffet with desserts and soft drinks, two cash bars with drink specials. Space is limited. Tickets are available online.

Sunday, June 14

1-4PM: Historic Home Tours hosted by the Ludington Bed & Breakfast Association

Here's your opportunity to see the stunning craftsmanship of the Lumber Era, in addition to beautifully designed newer homes located in downtown and on the outskirts of Ludington, set in peaceful spaces. Among other homes, local Ludington B&Bs will be open for public tours, including Shining Light Inn Bed & BreakfastLudington House Bed & Breakfast,  Lamplighter Bed & Breakfast as well as Candlelite Inn Bed & Breakfast.

All proceeds from the Love Ludington Weekend Home Tour will benefit the Lakeshore Resource Network, then distributed among non-profit organizations who will assist and strengthen individuals and families in need in the community. Each B&B will also be collecting canned goods and other non-perishable items for donations to the Ludington Food Club. 

Tickets are $10 per person and include access to each home on the tour. Maps will be included with the ticket. Passes may also be purchased the day of the event at any one of the following locations: Candelite Inn B&B, Lamplighter B&B, Ludington House B&B or Shining Light B&B.

12-8PM: West Shore Pride Fest

The West Shore Pride Fest celebrates LGBTQ pride with speakers, performers, community organizations, and vendors. All are welcome to this free and festive event at Rotary Park.
