Love Ludington Weekend
June 6, 2025
Description
• On Deck: A Night Aboard the S.S. Badger – 7:30-10 p.m. Thursday 6/5: This will serve as a signature kickoff to the weekend’s festivities, blending the city’s finest culinary offerings, live entertainment, and historic charm with a purpose: to raise funds and awareness for the Lakeshore Children’s Advocacy Center.
The S.S. Badger will remain docked throughout the event, allowing guests to explore the ship freely, including areas not open during regular sailings. Guests will enjoy tastings from some of downtown Ludington’s most beloved restaurants, each offering a sample of their signature dishes, as well as live music throughout the evening. Tickets on Eventbrite
• Take a walk on the artistic side in the first-ever Love Ludington Art Crawl – 12-4 p.m. Saturday 6/7. Celebrating the creative community that Ludington has to offer, this self-guided walking tour leads you to explore 9 of downtown Ludington art galleries and markets, as well as a handful of local restaurants and cafes that will be showcasing individual artists and musicians. Grab a coffee, a beer, or an ice cream and see the beauty our local artists create.
• Check out the latest addition to the Port of Ludington Maritime Museum: The Age of Steam exhibit opens at 12 p.m. Saturday, June 7 with $5 off admission from noon to 4 p.m. This immersive new exhibit replaces Mysteries Beneath the Waves and tells the story of how steam propulsion transformed the Great Lakes. With 11 beautifully crafted steamship models, new interpretive panels, and engaging displays, the exhibit explores the transformation from wind-driven vessels to steam engines and the incredible innovation that defined this era. (Museum hours: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.)
• Back to the Bricks Car Show – 3-7 p.m. Monday 6/9: As an add-on to the weekend – browse approximately 250 classic cars on South James Street during this event!
